Chapter 14 - Beth

1889 Words

“f**k, f**k, f**k. What the hell did I do with my car keys?” I mutter under my breath as I search though my bag again. I wanted to be away early this morning, so that I would be back in my pack before lunchtime. I wanted to walk in and surprise everyone in the dinning hall, but I was running late. Very, very late. Me and Beck had stayed up practically all night, and I had spent all morning struggling to find everything I needed to pack. The last thing I needed to find was the most important thing, my car keys. Without them I wasn’t going anywhere. “Where did you have them last?” Beck asks not so helpfully from his position lying down on my bed. “If I knew that, they wouldn’t be lost.” I retort with a sarcastic smile. “Ok. When did you have them last?” Beck tries again to be helpful.
