“Damn it! That b***h is toying with me” Gerald cursed, throwing the phone in his hands on the wall.
The innocent device hit the concrete wall, scattering Into pieces.
Harper scoffed as she glared at him.
“I think it’s for the best that she left you” Harper said, walking over to Gerald who was seated on the bed and panting in anger.
“You guys were getting too lovey-dovey for my liking and the thoughts of you two getting married…it broke my heart” Harper added, she sat slowly on Gerald’s thighs, her hands encircling his neck like a snake curling possessively around its prey.
“Even though I was jealous…I tried so hard not to show it because I knew that it was for the just cause, a cause for our rise to power” Harper whispered, nipping him on his earlobes.
Gerald groaned and held her waist strongly, making her gasp.
He tried kissing her but Harper turned her head, a sign of rejection.
“No pleasure until we sort this out, now tell me, why did Isla suddenly decide to stop the marriage?” Harper asked
Gerald rolled his eyes and exhaled “How the f**k am I supposed to know, isn’t she your friend…did she tell you anything?”Gerald asked back, his anger was back, this time bringing with it a huge amount of frustration.
“Did she hear what we said, the other night …?” Gerald trailed off
“That’s not possible, I made sure that the drug was a greater amount than before, even If she is from an alpha bloodline, a solid 5 hours of knockout is assured’’ Harper shushed him.
“But what if?”
“What if what? No matter what happened or if she knows about our plans, it all boils down to the fact that you Gerald Finley cannot make a woman stay” Harper scolded him.
Gerald, whose Alpha ego was bruised badly by Harper’s insult, encircled his large palms around her slender neck to strangle her.
Harper stared into his eyes, fearlessly
“Come on, go on, strangle me, you p***y of a man, you are so frail that your ego can’t even take this little diss” she coughed out.
“Damn!” Gerald exclaimed and pushed her away, he stood up and punched the concrete wall angrily but unfortunately for him, it was concrete meaning that instead of the wall to cave in just like In the movies, his fist was bruised and bleeding.
Harper burst into laughter, she stalked closer to him and held him on his waist
“Such a fragile Alpha…now stop making yourself an embarrassment and go wash up, while I go talk to Isla, we need to get to the root of this problem and find a solution” Harper whispered, she patted his back softly and left the room, banging the door.
Gerald gritted his teeth “Isla, I’m going to make. You f*****g regret treating me like trash”

Harper stood in front of the Mirror, staring at her lovely white dress that she had gotten as a gift from Isla on her birthday.
The dress was worth 5 figures and Harper remembered how she had begged Isla to buy her the dress.
“Isla is such a lucky girl to be born into a rich and powerful family where she is loved by all and treated like an egg, why are we so different? Even though we are friends” Harper mused, she opened her jewelry box and put on diamond earrings, another gift from Isla.
Then she wore the friendship bracelet that Isla had given to her when they both turned 16 years old.
“I’m coming for you Isla” she breathed.

Harper’s car drove into the large manor that housed the howling wolf pack, a look of envy on her face as she looked around the beautiful and large property.
Pack members moving around, laughter discussion.
The howling wolf pack was like a mini city where others lived together in harmony.
Instead of a large pack house to accommodate everyone, there were little houses, bungalows, and cottages where each family lived and Isla and her family members lived in a large duplex that was usually for the Alpha and his household
Harper looked at the large house, a covetous look in her eyes “Very soon, all these will belong to me” she whispered to herself.
She walked into the porch of the house and rang their doorbell, while still caressing the door obsessively, thinking of how much such an antique wooden door would be sold in the market.
“Who is there?” A voice called from inside of the house and the door swung open.
It was Maya, Isla’s mother, immediately she sighted the beautifully dressed Harper, and she flashed her a sweet smile.
“Thank God you came, I was almost thinking that you and Isla aren’t together anymore,” Maya said to Harper.
Harper flashed her a small smile “That’s impossible Aunty, we have known each other for so long, our bond isn’t that easily broken” Harper said.
Maya grinned at her words and nodded In agreement.
“Come in,” She said, with a cherry smile, opening the door wider.
Harper reciprocated her smile and stepped into the house, looking around the magnificent and luxurious sitting room.
“Good day sir” Harper greeted immediately she sighted Robert, but the fuming man snubbed her, making his wife glare at him so he had no other choice but to nod at her stiffly.
Harper didn’t take his actions to heart, after all, he was just one of the many pawns in their game, soon he would meet his demise at the hands of his daughter, thinking of this she fished a giddy smile and headed straight towards Isla’s room.
