Violet is still in her wolf form, wolves generally shift back to their human form, once they are unconscious. Rollo is carrying her back to his car to get her to a hospital as soon as possible. “Why is she still in her wolf form?” He asks, looking at Wade. Wade shrugs and has a confused look on his face.
“Because I am awake,” Violet answers in a mind link to Rollo. Rollo stops and sets her down on the forest floor.
“Hey, how are you feeling? You lost a lot of blood” Rollo asks concerned. Violet shifts back to her human form and tries to sit up, but the pain in her side is excruciating. She falls back and rests on the ground.
“Is everybody safe?” she asks through her pain. Rollo smiles.
