Violet wakes up when the sun rises. It is cold and dark in the cell, but she knows that the sun is up. She gets up and starts pacing up and down her cell. The plan is formed in her head, but if this is going to work, she is not sure. It is risky and if she doesn’t succeed then both Sarah and she will be killed.
She needs to talk to Sarah, but she will only come later when she brings her breakfast. Violet listens to her surroundings, taking in all the sounds. The guards are talking, and they sound relaxed. That may play in her favour as they are not expecting an escape. She wishes that she could get a message to Sarah.
