I couldn't believe my eyes. Christian, the one person I had been trying to get out of my head, was standing in front of me, looking more handsome than ever. I felt a flutter in my chest as he gazed at me with that piercing blue stare.
"Christian," I said, trying to sound calm. "What are you doing here?"
He smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "I could ask you the same thing, Ashley. I didn't know you were a fan of Albufeira."
I shrugged, trying to play it cool. "Just needed a break from the city, you know? And Alexi wanted to go shopping."
Christian nodded, his gaze drifting over me in a way that made me feel like he was seeing me for the first time. "You look amazing, by the way. That bikini is... wow."
