Christian's POV
"Ashley?" Jacob asked, his voice laced with surprise. "What on earth... There's no way she's the one. She was literally in the hospital when you were brought in, she treated you. That makes no logical sense. Maybe it's another woman."
I nod my head, hoping like hell that he's right. The thought of Ashley being involved in the sabotage is unbearable. It would break me into pieces if she was the one behind it.
"Isn't there any security footage?" I asked John, desperation creeping into my voice.
He shakes his head. "No, there isn't. She wiped it clean."
I sigh, feeling frustrated because we just lost the only lead we had. There's no way we could investigate based on an incomplete description of a woman we know nothing about.
