Ashley's POV
When Christian walked out, I turned to look at Alexi and Jacob, feeling a mix of emotions; relief, joy, and anxiety. I was so glad to see him awake and alert, and Alexi smiling genuinely again, but I also worried about Christian.
Just then, a nurse rushed in and whispered something in my ear. "Dr. Ashley, we need you in the operating room, stat. We have a patient who needs a transplant immediately."
I nodded, feeling a surge of adrenaline. "Let's go," I said, following the nurse out of the room.
