Betrayal:
The sun set behind the Western mountains as the ragtag group came down the road to the Hacienda. Helena still listless from the gunfight experience remained quiet and thoughtful the entire trip. Hogan slept, a combination of blood loss in the excruciating pain of having his wound cauterized by salamander spit knocked him out.
Not wanting to cause a commotion with the wounded, and Gin, it was decided they would wait until dark. Slip into camp, hide Gin, the Smithy Stone, and Helena all in the covered wagon until morning. This would give everyone a chance to absorb the two deaths in the caverns. Annie and Logan, would take Hogan into the woods and let the full moon regenerate him when he shifted into rat form.
