18 A Human Grief
Kye pushed down his desire for her. She would never appreciate the restraint he practiced around her. She would never know how difficult it was. She did not need to, that was Kye's burden as someone who was under the Alpha's orders.
He could smell her core blooming. Was that arousal for him? He shifted back to his human form.
“Let us return to your suite. Aleric should be done with pack meetings soon.” Kye guided her back into the door.
