Vin was the first to enter the suite, followed by away a few paces, Kye. When the door closed, Kye took the post next to it as guardian, grasping for his power again. He must be resolute. No more Vin tempting him.
Vin slid off her shoes and paused in the middle of the room.
“Aleric. It is good to see you.” She slides into her role as his human.
“Yes, my human. How was your walk?” He asks, leaning on a table. “Was it romantic?” Aleric’s eye flit from Vin’s face to Kye’s, reading them both.
“Romantic? Maybe under different circumstances. It was enjoyable. Thank you for allowing it today.” She gives him a gentle smile and a soft bow of her head. “How was your pack meeting?”
