“Ah! Sister!” Heins was glad to see her own blood related come at the right time.
He’s been doing something in the room and he’s very excited to say this announcement with her sister.
“What is it, brother? You called me and know I’m here.” Brooklyn puts her clipboard at the table as he approaches his brother who suddenly gave her a bunch of papers.
She looks at one of them and sees that it’s a bunch of contracts!
Signed with his name on it.
“Wait brother, what are these contracts for?” She asks as she puts them all down on a table and decides to look into some of them. It looks like some of these are trade deals and marketing.
Brooklyn knows what companies make deals with another company, but she did expect her brother to be this much of a business man when he became the CEO.
A bunch of these are just deals to cut ties with the robots once finished and in return they'll give necessary supplies for the company. It does sound good in the first sight but looking closer at it Brooklyn noticed a glaring contradiction in the contract.
She wants to inform her brother about this obvious mistake and that he's been fooled, but looking at all of these papers it seems like he has less care to do something about it.
Brooklyn is starting to believe that her brother is starting to show his true colors.
Once the father is gone the son finally takes over, that's how it is.
But unexpectedly the son has other plans that the father was not aware of.
And for this instance, signing deals with other people without even reading the whole thing, probably.
“Well, deals!” Heins said as he pulled out an arm which startled Brooklyn.
“Calm yourself! It's only a part that came in with the delivery.”
“Jeez, you don't have to pull it out like it's the west! Ugh.” Brooklyn sighs and forgets about it.
“Back to topic. What did you call me for?”
Brooklyn asked as the brother just simply gave a hand gesture to her sister to follow before walking to another room.
Brooklyn looked at his brother and just shook her head. He's been up to something lately and it's concerning for Brooklyn.
Luckily his plans are slowed down because he wasn't entrusted with the chip containing her father's blueprints.
Speaking of chips, she has to check what's inside of it soon.
Heins was waiting for her sister to follow him. Once Brooklyn gave in and followed, he happily guided her inside the room.
“I'm sure you remember this, right? This is where father took us both on a tour on how his robots were made.”
…
Brooklyn nonchalantly nods.
She was once here, but on the outside.
She always watches her father show how things work to her brother while Brooklyn sits down near the door waiting for them to come out. She sometimes calls it her waiting zone when she was a kid.
Whatever the location is this is always where she hangs out when nothing is happening or when she waits for someone, even though they're far away.
She's such a strange child then.
Brooklyn's arm was grabbed as she was dragged deeper to the mechanics of the room that she had never seen before.
All of the workers here are inspecting the parts that came from the box. It looks like she can already make a guess to what her brother might me dragging her to.
…
Swshh…
The sound of the door opening as smoke comes out of another room.
“Oi! What's up everyone!” Heins completely greeted everyone with an enthusiastic tone.
Brooklyn looks at his brother and thinks of something. “Has he always been this enthusiastic?”
“Good day boss. We were just finishing up the beta project for Test 65.”
“Test 65?” Brooklyn asked in curiosity.
“There's another test robot coming huh.,” Brooklyn thought to herself as the brother swiftly guides her own sister through the makings of the room.
