Greg stood still for a moment, still deciding what to do next, it's not like he was shy, he was just too mature to act without thinking, just when he was about make a move, his parents came out of the office almost in a storm, Greg was almost startled when he saw them, what if his father had seen him, with a girl on their first day in church, what excuse would he had offered in place of himself, because there definitely would have been a sacrifice if he saw Greg in that situation, and he had no lie or forgery in mind perhaps his father did catch him with her, he probably would have received some long speech at the least, it's not like Greg wasn't expected to have friends, he was just held accountable to a certain type of behavior at the least, there were many things that weren't expected of him, his family was of class and doctrine, which came with many rules, Daniel handed Greg his bag at the sight of him, he was required to relieve his father of load any time he was close by, at the least to the fullness of his capacity, Ava was right behind Daniel and tried to say hello to her son but he was obviously lost in thoughts, Greg! She said; in a slightly pitched playful voice, Greg immediately returned to himself with a frown, mom, he replied in a hush tone; aren't you with us? She asked; I'm quite visible he said; Ava tilted her head to the side with a frown when she heard his response, by this time Daniel Greg's father was already informed the family earlier that he would would be traveling, this was chiefly the reason he left in a hurry, although he usually didn't stay longer than necessary in social gatherings, they didn't need to use their vehicle, the church was quite close to their house and would take about two minutes to walk down, you shouldn't have replied to me in that way I am your mother! There are other ways to express your views Ava said to Daniel; but you know those questions weren't necessary he replied; I wouldn't have asked if it weren't necessary, Ava said with her voice starting to head upwards, Greg, sensing the tension in the conversation rising, decided to calm the heat, sorry about the way I sounded he said, and walked away almost immediately, this alone was cause Greg to skip Cassie, he walked past her as though she didn't exist,, there was a way Greg acted around women, he didn't actually pursue the women he liked, provided they were already in his space, he gave the women he was interested in signs to pursue him, Greg made use of seduction, this allow him to flirt without approaching, without practically making any move at all, as though he uses the air to communicate, perhaps anytime he walked his glances sent a message to those he was interested in, and his message always seem to pass across, even if it took a little time, he walked straight to the Church entrance and made it an exit, , he left he sight, Cassie was left somewhat confused, with the number of glances she got she expected him to approach her sooner, she was used to getting instant attention, this was quite a shock to her, glances from really confident males usually started a chat, she wasn't expecting this to be any different, she didn't expect to be ignored, she no riced she was quite interested in him as well, perhaps he shy she thought; he looked too confident to be shy she said to her self, she squirmed at the thought of this, maybe he wasn't interested in me, Cassie thought; why should I let a stranger make me feel this way, I shouldn't let anyone's action or in action influence me to change the narrative about my self, she quietly affirmed her self while Greg went out of sight, Ava was still at the background gathering her things to leave. Greg was still on his way home when Cassie's image began flashing through his head, she's beautiful he said; but he never took any girl serious for looks alone, she had to have a special quality to be treated specially, but he felt so different about this female, he gasped; what if she isn't a member of that parish, I hope I made the right decision not speaking to her sooner.
