  Gracie   As soon as I got home, I made sure I did everything that needed to be done, including my dad’s dinner. I wanted to make sure I never forgot anything, not wanting to set him off. He hadn’t bothered me since I got home, thankfully. It gave me time to get on with everything before getting ready to head out. I didn’t want to go tonight, not really, but it was hard to say no with them both looking at me. At least it would get me out of the house, and away from my dad for a bit.   I wasn’t dressing up. I had gone with a pair of shorts, an oversized hoodie and my converse. My hair was in a high ponytail, and I had little make-up on.
