  Gracie   I was hiding in my bedroom. My dad was wasted and in a nasty mood. I was trying to stay out of his way. I had already got a slap earlier for nothing, and he was still drinking, which meant he was going to get worse. I wish I had the money to just move out and get away from him.   “GRACIE, WHERE ARE YOU” I heard him call out in a snarl.   I could hear him coming up the stairs, and I decided I wasn’t letting him anywhere near me tonight. He can find another way to take his anger out. I quickly dashed around my room, pulling joggers on, grabbing my phone and making my way to my bedroom window.
