I stared at Joycelyn for a moment before leaving to get a wet cloth, and I cleaned her up and covered her down. Then I went to take a shower and check up on the kids.
Aera was talking on the phone with her friend. I listened for a few minutes before turning and leaving. Brandon was not in his room; thus, I went to Annika's room, and they weren't there either. That's when I heard a loud painful scream and Mariana's voice.
