As the daylight once again hits the open of the den Mother bear Corra starts to stir around so little Bruno will get up. Going over to the strawberry patch everyone of them were eaten so they headed on down to the open pasture across the forest tree line a path of fresh blackberries were ready for the picking. Moving into the bushes Mother told little Bruno to be careful because these bushes have thorns. But the berries were very tasty. Little bear tried to be careful as he moved around the bushes of blackberries from the ground. Little bear started moving around on his back moving into and out of the bushes til he had wedged himself into the thorns as his fur was being putting from several different directions little Bruno started screaming for help to his mother. Corra came over and pushed the bush over to grab her son with her mouth and pull him out of the blackberries briers as little Bruno screaming and yelped losing fur that remained in the thorns of the bush. Corra looked down at her son and said what am I going to do with you.
Seeing that this was going to be a normal Little Bruno type of day. Corra sit down under a tree and looked at little Bruno. She told him he needed to be careful because she might not always be around to save him. That other bears were not safe for him to hang around and each and every time he gets into trouble she worries she can’t always be there to protect him from harm. Corra asked little Bruno to be careful on the decisions he made. That he should stop and thing about how safe is what he was about to do. So far in just the past few days Corra told little Bruno at he had been sprayed by a skunk, he had got attacked by a frog and now he got suck in a brier patch losing a lot of fur. Corra asked him to make better decisions so her cub would grow up to be a strong tough bear. Little Bruno looked at his mother and agreed that he would try to be careful from now on.
Walking out beside the stream in the meadow everything felt nice and relaxing with little Bruno still hurting after today explorations. Corra and little Bruno made their way back to the river with salmon moving right now it’s a great place to come. Mother got down on the other side of the river were the current was move strong today. And little Bruno decided today was his day to catch a salmon as he positioned himself in the water and watch for fish to come by and sure enough one floated right in front of him. And little Bruno tried to hit the salmon and ended up in the water floating down stream in the current as Corra was busy trying to catch a fish she didn’t see little Bruno floating away as water was bobbing him up and down he couldn’t yell for his mother. Little bear was still floating and getting thrown around in the water. And the next thing he knew a water fall took him down father beyond we’re he saw his mother last. After the waterfall took Little Bruno to the river bank little Bruno slowly clawed his way to the bank and just lay there exhausted from fighting the water.
Poor little Bruno just struggling to breathe as he just laid on the bank of the river. Little Bruno started yelping for his mother but she never answered. He was not sure how far he had traveled in the water once he got his bearings. Little Bruno moved from the bank he started slowly walking back next to the river moving up stream. With each breath it seemed to be getting darker When Corra realized that Little Bruno had floated off she tried to find him but it was getting late so she growled and shouted For Bruno but nothing. Corra had to slowly make her way back to the den to start looking again in the morning.
Scared and alone for the first time in his life. Little Bruno was scared and it was getting dark. Little Bruno spotted a old low hanging branch from a tree so he hide under the branch with his face covered by his eyes little Bruno was terrified and scared he would never find her mother. Little Bruno starts crying and cried himself to sleep under and old branch of a tree. With no one in this whole world, To help him Little Bruno was going to find his mom. The next morning light entered Little Bruno’s eyes as he rose up to find something to eat little bear found a few berries along a trail on the river. Corra woke up early to look for her cub hopefully he had just washed down the river unharmed. As Corra searched far and wide not finding her little mischievous cub anywhere. As little Bruno got confused on which direction to go or come little Bruno must have hit his head on some of the rocks in the river. He started straying around walking away from the river wondering toward a big wide mountain. Little Bruno climbed toward the top of the mountain. Looking to see his mother trying to get as high as he could on the mountain. But no mother to be spotted. And Little Bruno was starting to get hungry as he headed down the mountain there was and apple tree but the apples weren’t on the ground yet. So little Bruno bear climbed the tree looking for the closest apples he could find. He slowly climbed to a limb with several apples about it so little bear gave a little jump to reach the limb and he rolled to the ground as the apples came bouncing down with him. Little Bruno grabbed the apples and ate all the apples he managed to knock down. After getting his belly full little Bruno bear headed back to the forest to start looking for his mother again.
Searching for the trail he was on when he first last his mother along the trail of the river. Coming to a busy fox scouting out for food. Little Bruno bear asked the impatient fox if he had seen his mother. And of course the annoyed fox said no go away you are ruining my hunting this morning as little Bruno bear took off walking again. He came to a brook with some frogs swimming around and spotted the one frog that landed on his head just yesterday. Little Bruno bear yelled over at the frog. Do you remember me from yesterday? You landed on my head and my mother rescued me. The frog looked at Little Bruno and jumped on his head looking down at the small cub the frog said ribbbit ribbbit yes I remember you and what a ride that was as the rolled into his back and just laughed. Little Bruno told him he had lost his mother wondering if the frog could have seen her looking for him.. Because she was a great mother and little bear knew she was searching for him. The small frog told Little Bruno no the has not seen his mother since yesterday but if he came across her he would let her know little Bruno was looking for her. And oh little Bruno told the frog his mother’s name was Corra. The frog said ok and he would watch out for her and told little Bruno to be careful and stay out of trouble as he laughed so.
