Trying to find his way back to the river little Bruno moves slowly trying to track back to his steps as he and his Mother had just been this way days ago. Walking the trail that he thought was the right path. Their was that fox that didn’t have time for little Bruno before and as he approached the fox again asking him how to get back to the river. The arrogant fox asked why a little cub was bothering such a large and important sly fox. As little bear tried to reason with the fox. He asked little bear what was in it for him. And little bear thought if you tell me I will never bother such an impressive animal as yourself sorry for wasting your time little Bruno said And at such a compliment the fox told him down the ridge and to the left after the wide oak tree. Little Bruno thanked the fox and headed in the direction to the river that the fox told him to go. Walking toward the oak suddenly there was a large mountain goat she was upset little Bruno seeing the goat asked what was wrong and the goat cried out a little louder. She said her mate was being mean he hit her with his large horns and hurt her. But little Bruno asked isn’t that what goat do to show affection and she asked if she should hit him harder than he hit me. And little Bruno said yes he thought that’s what goats do and she thanked little Bruno and took off running. And little Bruno headed off toward the left side of the oak tree. Trying to find the river. Realizing the fox had lied to him little bear had walked most of the day. And had not come to any water, as far as he he could see. Getting tired he decided to find some food and a place to sleep. When searching for something to eat little Bruno moved to the back side of a old broken tree that had lost some apples from the broken branches and he ate til he couldn’t eat another bite then went looking for a place to sleep. Wondering back to the place encamped in a den little Bruno crawled in and fast fell asleep being exhausted from the days adventures. Poor little Bruno wraps himself up in a little ball of fur and one again finds sleep. As day light comes in to view of the little opening of the den. Little Bruno just laid there he was tired and losing hope that he would ever find his mother. He was starting to feel depressed and didn’t think he would find that one parent he had always relied on. Thinking about his mother made his heart ache and he had a tear from the sadness. Little bear Bruno just laid there til he needed to find some food. Stepping out of the den little Bruno spotted a large tree with the sweetest honey smell dancing around everywhere. Little Bruno figured he had made it this far he might as well as be mischievous this long he might as well try to over come his thoughts. He went over to the tree looking around and he spotted the beehive. Moving slow and with purpose little bear Bruno inched and inched slowly closer to the hive. Being on small branches he realized why the beehive was still there. Little Bruno decided to move backwards along the branch and til he was hanging backwards and upside down little Bruno snatched the hive with his teeth and the bees too as they started pelting little Bruno’s fur with their strings over and over it was like constant hits. As little Bruno tried to hang on the strings were getting worse jolting the cub down as he lost his grip him and the beehive and the bees followed him to the ground as the small cub hit several branches on the way down to the ground. After a bit of trying to catch his breath poor little cub finally got his composure still getting pelted by bees little Bruno grabbed his prize and ran for the water a small pond He ran full blast an jumped into the pond without any thoughts he was ready to get rid of the pain of the bee stings. He levitated the hive on his head after it submerged into the water and came back up at his head one bear cub with a beehive. On his head he floated to the other side of the pond and tilting his prize he was able to get the hive back to his mouth pulling himself and the hive to out of the water. Little bear hit the hive with his paws and his weight and the hive cracked open exposing the fresh honey. Oozing out onto the ground and little Bruno went to work moving his prize into his mouth. Lapping up every inch of the honey from the hive. Trying to not waste any of the honey little Bruno worked enjoying the saver of each taste of the fresh honey. Til it was gone and The small cub was full of honey and well sticky honey matted his fur but his just wanted to find he den and sleep.
After his nap little Bruno headed in another direction trying to find the mouth of the river where all those large salmon flow through. Coming to a large stump and remembering what happened last time little Bruno crepted and explored inside a stump. He moved slowly looking around everywhere and he did spot the skunk and little Bruno grabbed his head with his paws waiting to get pelted by the nasty stench again. The skunk just stopped looking at little Bruno and laughing the skunk remembered the little cub who scared him by trapping the skunk inside a stump the only way out was his odorous spray. The skunk finally asked little Bruno what he was doing and little Bruno said he was waiting for the skunk to spray him again. As the skunk told little Bruno not to scare him and he wouldn’t spray him as the skunk laughed. The skunk asked Bruno where the large bear he was with last time went to. With a tear rolling down his face he told the skunk how he got lost in the river and he has been looking for his mother ever since. Have you tried the river yet the skunk asked and the little cub said no he can’t seem to find it. And the skunk agreed to help little Bruno find the river. As little cub walked with the small skunk that again was helping him with a tell of a life time. After what happened our last meeting little Bruno said he was glad they were friends now and skunk said me to ask the little bear ask the skunks name and the skunk told him his name was Fredrick. As the to unlikely friends made their way on there journey to find the river. Little Bruno was thankful that he had found a friend to help him along his way.
