“Show us what you’ve got,” Bernard said.
Dave opened the garage door, and Camelia pointed to the box on the trunk.
“How’d you find it?” Bernard said.
“We were outside and noticed footprints around the garage door. We were worried about a break-in, because the house has been empty a lot lately. Dave and I had a look, to see if anything was missing. There was a puddle of water, snow melt, in front of this cabinet,” she said, pointing, “and this box was on the top shelf, but it was askew. You can see for yourself what’s inside,” Camelia said.
