Chapter 40 ~ December 30 Blue ChristmasCamelia was outwardly silent as she navigated the icy roads, but her mind was chattering nonstop.
“Everything okay, hon?” Leon asked.
“Oh, yeah. Just thinking about a work thing. And before you say anything, I know, I know. We’re on vacation,” she said, as they pulled into the parking lot.
Leon was off for an afternoon of billiards and beer with some old buddies, while Camelia went shopping the after-Christmas sales. Or, that’s what Leon thought she was doing. In reality, while Leon was sipping a pint, she would be trying to track down Auntie Freda’s health history.
