Chapter 24 ~ December 25 Kenna’s Christmas MiracleIt had all happened much faster than she expected. Kenna hung up and rolled over, pulling the fluffy down comforter close. Her bed was snug and warm, while the blizzard continued to howl, slamming the branches of the old elm against the side of the house. Daylight was still hours away, and she wanted to bury herself in a drift of sleep. But the call had shocked her awake. Her mother was dead. There was no time for lollygagging, as Freda would say.
