My hands pressed against his chest, pushing him away slightly, while I got out of his grip. My chest rose and fell as I tried adjusting my dress while trying to maintain composure.
Roman's gaze lingered on me, pinning me in place despite the appearance of his nephew's wife. Thank goodness! Emma had called out his name before entering the office, it would have been worse if she had seen us in close proximity.
“Do you have an addition to what I have submitted earlier?” I said, my voice trying to remain steady despite the pulsating nervousness I felt.
Roman didn't reply immediately, his eyes glimmered mischievously as his lips curled into a small smirk.
How could he still maintain that expression even when Emma was around. What if she started suspecting something?
