  ROMAN   My head snapped to the side, the sound echoing louder than it should have. When I turned my head to look at her, the hallway felt quiet. Thankfully, there wasn't any other person in the hallway except for her and Maxwell.   Her fingers were clenched into a fist, her gaze burned with anger. Not scared.   My palm touched my cheek slowly, more insulted than hurt. “You are quite bold,” I said, my voice even, almost curious. “Or stupid.”   Her chest rose and fell, affected by my words.   “Do you know who I am?” I asked, my voice flat, eyes locking unto her without a blink.
