Epilogue
Sebastian sat with Adam in the grass of the Monastery’s courtyard and watched Hugo with the other children.
He was too young to attend the school, not for nearly a year. But Sebastian had been thrilled when Raksha had agreed that when he was old enough, she’d permit him to come here in the morning a few days a week to learn more about his magical side.
Thrilled and relieved. Sebastian’s brother had been powerful. And half-wolf or not, his son would be powerful too. The earlier he started to learn to control it, the safer it would be.
“That kid is strong.” Charlie came and sat next to them on the grass. “Cute as a button, too.”
“He has Sebastian’s eyes.” Adam was smiling, watching him play. “And his uncles’ muscles.”
“I’m just hoping he has my sister’s common sense.”
