-Prologue-

The planes' engines hummed steadily as it flew across the Arctic, the cold slightly affecting the planes flight path. It was on its way to a geological site, one that had made an incredible discovery, one in which the world had never seen before. A woman walked through a warehouse, the only sound heard was the wet rubble crunching under her feet and the consistent drip, drip, drip, of a small droplet of water. The woman wore a white coat which protected her from the cold as well as a light pink scarf that was wrapped around her neck, whilst bright reflective sunglasses sat on the bridge of her nose. She carried a backpack with her as well, with all her essentials inside. This woman meant business, and she wasn't going to leave until she had her questions answered. A man stood at the other end of the warehouse, watching as the woman quickly approached. He knew who this woman was, but took a few steps forward just to confirm his suspicions. "Oh s**t, Darcy you really shouldn't have come" the man groaned in annoyance, his Irish accent making him sound all the more annoyed. The woman ignored his warning and continued to walk towards him with a look of determination on her face. "Show me" she demanded, walking closer and closer to the man standing before her.  With a loud sigh, the man led her to a large open area surrounded by heavy machinery. In the centre of it all was a large crater, with large blocks of ice surrounding the edges acting as a barricade. "We keep running...no stopping operations" The man began, continuing to walk towards the site with Darcy beside him. They walked passed a gate, ones that were identical to those used in airport security checks, as well as a man with long black hair, who was leaning on the hood of a car. "No, you gotta go through...no cameras" The man gestured to Darcy, walking around the gate "He's got orders to kill I don't even think International Laws apply up here" the man stated, throwing his arms out in a clueless manner. Darcy tossed her bag to the side of the gate and stormed through, setting off the metal detector in the process "We are geologists first..." she snapped, glaring up at the man before her "...If this thing has any historical significance at all, we are shutting down. I'm shutting us down" Darcy continued before storming off in the direction of the site. The sound of a gun reloading caught everyone off guard, as both Darcy and the man turned on their heel to see the second man holding a large rifle which was aimed towards the blonde-haired woman. The first man put his hand up as a sign for the other man not to shoot, whilst Darcy threw out her arms "Oh he's going to shoot me? Shoot me" she challenged, before turning her back and continuing on her way. Darcy was too focused on the geological find that she didn't notice that the first man had come up behind her, jogging to reach her side. Before them was the skeleton of a Tyrannosaurus Rex, the skeleton was completely in tack, which shocked Darcy to say the least. But the most exciting thing about this find was that the skeleton wasn't made of bone...but of metal. "This is crazy stuff..." the first man exclaimed, walking up to the site with a large hammer in his hands. Darcy watched in amazement as the man swung the hammer against the T-Rex skeleton, only for a metallic twang to echo off of the cliff face in front of them. "Well, what do you think?" the man asked, turning his head around to face the woman behind, silently waiting for her answer.  Darcy looked over the skeleton once more in awe, before speaking "I think history is about to change".
