His Only Cheerleader

Chapter 14

3rd Person's POV

"... and another point for the Red Phoenix Team!!!!!!!"

The announcer said making the crowd cheer louder. The students from Seoul University are celebrating, their football team is leading to a huge gap.

The coach of the Red Phoenix calls for a time out.

"Bro! Watch out for that mother fuckin' captain of that team." James said.

"Yeah, Ace! He plays dirty," Cris also said.

"Ace, I think their captain is after you. Watch out of him okay?" Christian reminded Ace.

Ace reminded the team again of the strategy to win before they return to the field. Ace looks at the bench side and glance at his girlfriend for a boost of energy.

Ace’s POV

I glance at my girlfriend before returning to the field.

I could see her with her concerned look and mouthing if I am okay. I give her a thumbs up to let her know that I am okay.

The whistle blew again indicating that the game starts again. When I was at the field guarding one of the opponents, the captain of the other team approaches me and replaced the one I was guarding.

"Oooooh! Isn't it the great and mighty Ace Lee !" I saw him smirking inside his helmet.

"What do you want, Mark?" I said glaring at him never letting my guard down.

"Oh nothing, just saying good luck!" He said with a grin plastered on his face.

I know he is up to something! But I will not let him!

Mark continued to play and is taking the ball away from my teammate but I successfully get it from him, he was on the ground due to the impact when I bumped into him.

With the skills that I have, I successfully scored again for the team making the gap even higher.

The whistle was blown indicating a time out. We went to our bench side then my girlfriend gave me a bottle of water and drink from it when I reached there.

"Cee, are you okay? Please be careful in there. I think that player is up to something."

"Don't worry princess. Nothing bad is going to happen to me, okay?"

After that, I peck her lips and go back to the field alongside my team.

The whistled was blown again indicating the game is resumed. I guess luck is on our side right now. We have a chance to get another point.

I was about to get another score for my team, but someone went after me.

"Not so fast!"

The opponent knocked me to the ground blocking my foot with his that makes me stumble to the ground.

"Ceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!"

I heard Kaylin shouts but I just grunt due to the impact that causes my leg to get cramps.

The medics immediately went to me and brought me to the clinic. Soon, I saw my girlfriend went to me. I saw a brim of tears ready to fall from her beautiful eyes.

When we arrived inside the clinic, the school doctor immediately checks my injured leg. He did some tests on my leg.

"Mr. Lee, you just have cramps. Nothing more serious but you must rest it for at least 3 days to avoid complications, also you can go back to the field but unfortunately, you can’t go back to the game yet. Just rest it a bit." the doctor told me and tap my shoulders.

"Okay, doc. Thanks." I replied to him and with that, he left the clinic and go back to the medics’ stations alongside the school nurses to assist the others if they got injured.

I just laid in the bed but I heard a knock on the door.

"Come in."

"Cee? Are you *sniff* alright?"

I heard the beautiful voice of my lover that helps me to recover quickly but is hurting my heart to hear her sobbing.

"I'm alright, love. Come here baby and lay down beside me."

She immediately walks towards me and lays beside me. She hugs me tight and I hug her as well.

She put her face in the crook of my neck. I felt a wet thing in my neck then I realized my baby is crying.

"Baby, what's wrong?"

I asked her and gently pulls her face upward.

"It's just that you got hurt a-and that jerk did that to you! Cee I'm sorry I am useless," she lowered her face but still crying.

"Baby you are never useless to me. You even help me to learn how to love again. Do not worry about my injury, it will heal in just 3 days and this happens in sports love. Don't cry anymore, please?" I asked her while giving pecks all over her beautiful face.

I heard her giggle that is like music to my ears. She just smiled and say a small okay.

After our small talk together, she helped me get up and act as a support of my body then we go back to the field.

When we arrived at the field, the team was doing well but we are not having a big gap anymore. Still, our team is on the lead.

We went to the bench; Kaylin helps me to sit and I grab her waist for her to sit in my lap.

"Cee! You know you are injured and there is still space beside you," she said and lightly slaps my chest.

"I love it when you sit in my lap baby," I told her as I inhaled her strawberry scent. Her scent always calms my nerves.

Now, we focused on the game. The team always did their best in every game. There is no doubt they will win this even if I am not there with them.

The game went on and on. Sooner or later, I felt guilt is eating me inside. How can I let my teammates down? I cannot even play until the end because the incident happened a while ago.

I felt a hand touching my own hands that are so comforting.

"Cee? What are you thinking about?"

"It's just that I feel guilty not playing alongside my teammates. I feel that I have disappointed them as their captain."

Taehyung's POV

I listened to his words about how he felt. Oh, My Cee.

"Cee, don't be guilty of not playing with them until the end of the game. Someone put you into that accident but do not let it get inside of you okay? You are a great player, teammate, and captain, baby. And hey! Even if you are injured you are still here, in the field, watching and supporting them. I know they felt your support towards the team. Cheer up okay?"

I comforted him. I hated it when he feels so down. Curse that ugly b***h for hurting my bunny.

After some time, the final quarter is up. The team is playing twice harder than before. I know they do not want to disappoint the students from our school, most especially their captain.

The final blow for the final quarter was heard and soon, the crowd cheered and celebrating.

"Congratulations to the Red Phoenix of Priston University!!!!"

All the students and the crowds who are supporting the team cheered.

Both players of the teams shake hands not forgetting to end it with a friendly match.

The players of our team return back to the bench where the others are waiting for them.

"Congrats everyone!! You did a great job in defending our home court!"

The rest of the people are congratulating the team for winning this game, some of the crowd are saying their greetings then goodbyes.

"Hey, Capt.! Why are you being sulky over there?"

One of Cee’s teammates asks him. I know they also feel how down he is right now.

"I'm sorry guys. I could not continue to play with you until the end. If only I quickly avoided what that bastard is planning."

I immediately went beside him to comfort him and to remind him that he did everything he could to help the team.

"Dude! Don't worry about it! You help a lot to the team!"

"Ace, if you didn't score in the first set and gave a big gap to the opponents, we couldn't win it."

"Yeah, but I wasn't playing with you guys until the end. I feel so useless!"

"Cee! I told you already! You are NOT useless!" I immediately walk away from them.

"Yeah, Capt.! You were never useless, especially to the team. We couldn't ask for another great captain like you." I heard James encourages him.

I just hope he will stop saying he is useless.
