Chapter 12

Ace's POV

"Kaylin! Baby! Wait!"

I was running after my baby. I could not stand watching her crying and to add to it, I was the reason why there are tears coming out from her beautiful eyes.

"Ace, love! Where are you going?" Eunhee goes after me.

"YOU! WHAT RIGHTS DO YOU HAVE TO SAY THAT?! b***h I'M NEVER GOING TO BE YOUR BOYFRIEND OR HUSBAND! I ONLY HAVE ONE PERSON THAT I AM WILLING TO GET MARRIED WITH AND THAT IS KAYLIN, my one and only. Now, because of you, she ran away from me," I told her getting angrier of what she did.

"But Ace, remember when we were still kids? You promised that YOU WILL marry me no matter what. You even promised that you will only love me!"

I smirk at what she said.

"You think I will still marry you? Yes, you were my best friend. Yes, I have feelings for you. But that was before you left without even explaining or leaving any note to me. Sorry, Eunhee but I do not have feelings for you anymore. I only love Kaylin and only her. No one else," I run towards the others leaving her alone in there.

"Guys, please take care of mine and Kaylin's things. I will look for her and explain to her. I will explain to you guys later too," I told them and was about to walk to start looking for my Kaylin.

"Ace? Please look for Kaylin," Kristin asked me.

"Ace, explain to her everything okay?" Katie said and hugged me.

"Ace, never ever be tired of your relationship with her. Don't let the day end with the two of you having a conflict especially that your relationship just started," Jane told me as a reminder.

"I will. Thank you, guys. I will do my best to never hurt Kaylin ever again. I love her so much," I said and slowly runs towards the direction Kaylin went.

The others nod at me like they are agreeing with my words. Thank you, guys, for trusting me to love Kaylin. I promise I will explain everything to her.

I started my search and look for her everywhere around the campus.

Kaylin's POV

I run and run until I was a bit far away from the field, but I am still inside the campus.

I was inside the school building, walking and tears are still streaming down my cheeks. I went upstairs until I decided to stay on the rooftop.

My eyesight gets blurry due to the tears but nevertheless, I manage to walk and run until I reach the rooftop.

I cried myself out when I reach there and sits down near the wall that is a little bit far from the door entrance. My heart really hurts.

Why didn't he tell me? Did Ace lie this whole time? Why?! Why?!

"...WHY DID YOU LIE TO ME?!" I cannot take it anymore.

I cried myself out until I heard some footsteps outside the door. Then the door slowly opened.

"Kaye? Baby? Love? Are you here?"

When I heard someone calls my name, I immediately hid behind the tank.

It is Ace. I do not want him to see me.

"Kaye, baby? Are you here? I guess you are not here. I guess I lost you now." Ace said with sadness in his voice.

I peeked at him but still hid. I could see him looking down at the floor and water is dripping down his face?

Wait! Is he crying?! Why would he cry?! I am the one hurting here! Hello!

I heard him talking into the air as if the words could reach me, yet it did.

"Where are you, Love? I want to explain to you. I want to tell you that everything she said is from the past. I want to tell you that you are the only one I love and the one I want to marry. I want to share with you what happened in the past, Love. But I guess I am late now. This is the last place I know you will stay because it's peaceful here. I just wish I will find you and explain everything to you, Baby. I don't want to lose you, baby." he said while still crying.

Should I let him explain? But he broke my heart! But I hurt him too.

I slowly went out from my hiding place and walk towards him. He is crying that he did not notice I was coming to him.

He slowly lifts his head up. I could see tears in his doe eyes, but it was now red and puffy. His nose is a little bit red too. I stood in front of him.

"Baby..."

"You want to explain right? Then explain."

"Won't you call me Cee?" He said with a pout on his lips.

Oh, my gosh! He looks so cute with that pout! He looks exactly like a bunny! Snap out of it Kaylin Tan! You must be strong and listen to his explanation!

"Why would I call you that? Don't you have someone who can call you with such endearments?!"

"Yes, I have someone who can call me with those names," he said slowly getting up from his place.

Ouch! That hurts like a b***h!

"That someone is you, Kaye baby. You are the only one I love! I am sorry Love. Can I explain to you?"

I just nodded as a sign for him to continue and explain it to me.

"I was the only child my parents have. Before, I did not have anyone to play with or just someone who I can talk with because the kids in our neighborhood feared me. They say I was a scary boy that I might hit them or get angry at them. But hey! That is just a normal me. But one day, her family was our new neighbor. At first, I did not pay attention to her because I find her annoying. But when I was at the park, she approached me and talked to me. She was the first person who approaches and talks to me without getting scared. From then on, we went to the park and play together, soon we became close and become best friends. We were only 5 at that time. When we reach 8 years of age, she became my crush. I hid it after some time because I do not want to ruin our friendship. We continued to be best friends and gets even more close each day. As soon as she finds out that I have feelings for her, she confronted me and told me that she likes me too. Day by day, my feelings grew more and more...."

Ouch, this hurts a lot. She was his first love.

Ace's POV

I could see the hurt in my baby's face, but I must tell her everything. I do not want to lose her.

She smiled at me but not the happy smile and gives me permission to continue telling her everything.

Do not worry my baby. I promise you; you are the only one who owns my heart now. I only love you.

"... As time passed by and we became teenagers, we made a promise to each other. That promise is to only love each other and no one else. That someday, when the time comes, we will get married to each other. Another day came and we were going to meet at the park to spend some time together, but she did not come. I waited and waited for some hours for her to come but she did not, so I decided to visit her house. Then I was informed that their family went somewhere else and she did not leave any message for me and I found out that she already has a boyfriend, she was only playing with my feelings, trust, and my heart. That is why I did not let anyone else enter my heart again. But then, you came to my life and changed that baby..."

I paused a bit and approaches her. I hold her hand and kissed it.

"Now, you're the one who manages to enter my heart and break the barrier. You change my perspective on love. You made me realized that I should not be afraid to love once again. You are so different from her, love. Kaylin, my baby, you are my present and my future. No one else, remember that baby." I kissed her hands one more time.

"My Cee!"

Kaylin hugged me immediately and cries.

"Love, what's wrong?"

"I'm sorry I doubted you! I love you so much Cee!" she kissed me and was about to stop the kiss, but I grab her nape and kiss her deeper.

"I love you too, my baby. No one else." I kissed her even more and hug her.

"Let us go home, Baby. You can sleep at my house and cuddle with me."

"Ok Cee. I love you my Cee."

"I love you too baby. Today, tomorrow, and forever. Let us go?" she nods as an agreement and we started to walk towards the stairs. We went home together, and I pampered her with lots of kisses.
