With a sigh, I roll over and open my eyes to see bright light peeking through the bedroom curtains.
With a stretch, I sit up and look around the room.
I must have fallen asleep waiting for Ralph.
And where is he anyway?
Putting my hands down to scoot off the bed to go search for him, I feel something crinkle under my hand.
A small note.
Didn’t want to disturb you. Find me in the office when you wake up. -Ralph
Running my hand through my hair, I frown as I stare at the note.
I was hoping to tell Ralph everything in the comfort of our bedroom where we were less likely to be interrupted.
Looks like I missed that opportunity.
Getting dressed slowly, I can’t help but feel a heavy dread at the thought of what I am about to do, but I know that it has to be done.
