Mates?

Kai I pick up the nearly lifeless girl and throw her over my shoulder. I don’t know which direction to turn. They will be looking for me no matter which way I go. The only choice is to just leave out and hope to not get caught once again. I may be healing, but I don’t need another run in like the last. I should have my strength back by the time the moon is at its peak in the sky. So, I take off in the direction away from the way the Alpha was headed previously. Might have better luck that route. Alpha Phoenix The pack and I headed out as soon as the moon was up. We shifted as we are stronger beneath the moonlight in wolf form. Running into the direction of Alpha Ronan’s pack lands, I wonder just how big this rogue is. It doesn’t matter though, I know I can take him. Once we get towards the river I catch a scent that is unfamiliar. The rogue. It has to be. The stench is horrid and I am hot on the trail as to where he went. Running faster I come to a cave. There I get a whiff of another. A female. Oh, what a heavenly scent. She smells of fresh fruit and it is delectable. I must find her. I need to find her. Is it possible?! Embry I become dizzy as I am carried. I am so weak that it makes resisting impossible. Why fight? I’m just going to die anyway. Where, I don’t know. I suppose wherever he takes me. I am in unfamiliar lands as it is. I’d never be able to make it back home. We hadn’t been gone from the dark cave for long when I began smelling something. It was a wondrous scent. So woodsy and calming. It immediately made me feel warm. Alpha Phoenix I kept following the scent of both the rogue and the female. I have never smelled something so vile along with something so sweet before. I didn’t want to scare her, but I also didn’t want the rogue to get away. I had to choose my actions wisely. The smells became so close. I snuck behind a thicket of bushes and peered around. That’s when I saw them. My wolf whined in pain and said “MATE!” The girl was so thin. How could he have done this to her. My wolf began to become furious. I leapt out from behind the bushes and stood tall in front of the rogue. “RELEASE HER AT ONCE!” The rogue turned and tried to run. I quickly moved in front of him. He dropped her frail body to the ground with a thud just as my pack mates circled around us. I quickly ran to her side and picked her carefully up in my arms. “Take him back. I will take care of her. Go! Now!”
