The next morning, everyone packed their things and gathered in the lounge of the resort. Zelene stood with her friends, talking about their plans for the week ahead. Tasha said, "I have a week to rest before enrollment. I'm going to sleep all day." Nina chimed in, "I'll spend a few days in our province with my family." Unity added, "I'll be helping my grandma in her small canteen." Zelene smiled. "I'll spend time with my cousins at our grandparents' house. Let's make sure to chat in our group chat to keep each other updated." Just then, Rowan approached Zelene. "Give me your things," he said. "Why?" Zelene asked, puzzled. "You'll be with me. I'll drive you to your house," Rowan replied. Zelene raised an eyebrow. "We won't have a comfortable ride on your motorcycle with all this baggage. I'll go with Unity instead." Rowan smirked. "I'm driving my car, Zelene." "Wait, you have a car?" Zelene asked, surprised. "What do you think of me?" Rowan said, laughing. "I own three motorcycles, three cars, two racing cars, and a private jet. And I plan to make sure you ride in all of them soon." Zelene was speechless, her eyes wide with shock. Her friends giggled at her reaction. Rowan turned to her friends. "I'll be driving Zelene home," he informed them. Her friends nodded, with Unity saying, "Okay, take care, Zelene." Rowan grabbed Zelene's bags and gestured for her to follow. She bid goodbye to her friends and walked with him to the car. He opened the door to a sleek black Jeep Wrangler, one of Zelene's dream cars. He placed their things in the back and then opened the passenger door for her. "Get inside, my princess," Rowan said, motioning with his hand. Zelene blushed and got inside the car. Rowan closed the door and got into the driver's seat. He fastened Zelene's seatbelt, then his own. "You can sit back and relax," Rowan said, starting the engine. As they drove off, Zelene marveled at how her life had changed so quickly. The drive was comfortable, and Rowan's presence was reassuring. She couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement about what lay ahead for them. As they drove, Zelene couldn't help but glance at Rowan, admiring how hot and sexy he looked behind the wheel. Rowan noticed her staring and smirked. "You know, Zelene," he said with a teasing tone, "if you want to kiss me and take advantage of me, just say the word. I can pull over right now. I'll never say no. I'll offer myself freely to you." Zelene felt her cheeks flush with embarrassment and gave his shoulder a playful bump. "You're such a tease," she muttered, trying to hide her smile. Rowan laughed heartily, enjoying the moment. After a few more minutes of comfortable silence, they finally reached Zelene's home. "Let's go inside first," Zelene suggested as she opened the gate. Rowan carried her things, following her inside. Zelene's mother was in the living room, and she greeted her with a warm hug. "How was the outing, honey?" her mom asked. "I'll tell you all about it later, Mom," Zelene replied with a smile. She stepped aside to introduce Rowan. "Mom, this is Rowan. He's my classmate from summer class." Rowan stepped forward, smiling. "Good morning, ma'am," he said, shaking her hand. "My name is Rowan Presley." Zelene's mother looked between them, a teasing smile on her lips. Before Zelene could say more, Rowan spoke up. "I just wanted to let you know that I really like Zelene. I'm serious about her, and I'm courting her. I promise to respect and love her the way she deserves if I'm given a chance." Her mother seemed amused and smiled warmly at him. "Well, Rowan, you have my welcome to our family. It's nice to see a young man who knows what he wants." Zelene blushed deeply, feeling both embarrassed and happy. "Mom, we're just going to step outside for a moment to say goodbye," she said quickly. Rowan bid goodbye to her mother as well, then followed Zelene out to his car. Once they were alone, Rowan let out a deep breath. "I feel like my heart was about to explode back there. It's my first time doing that, you know, talking to the mother of the woman I admire." Zelene chuckled softly. "You did great. Thank you for everything today. You should go home and get some rest. Drive safely, okay?" Rowan smiled, his eyes softening as he looked at her. "I will. I'll message you when I get home." He leaned in and kissed her forehead gently before heading to his car. Zelene watched him drive away, feeling a warmth in her heart that she hadn't felt before. She turned and walked back into her house, already looking forward to their next meeting. Zelene smiled when she saw the message from Rowan: "Got home safe." She replied, "Great! Take a rest." Rowan quickly responded, "Yes, and you should rest too. I'll message you later." Feeling content, Zelene headed to the shower. After freshening up, she went to the kitchen, where her mom was busy baking. The warm, sweet aroma filled the air. "Your cousins will pick you and your brother up tomorrow morning to go to your grandparents' house," her mother informed her. "Okay, I'll pack my things later," Zelene replied, grabbing a cookie from the counter. She spent the whole afternoon sleeping, exhausted from the eventful trip. Her mother woke her up for dinner. After eating, Zelene packed her things for their three-day vacation at her grandparents' house. As she finished packing, her phone rang. Rowan's name flashed on the screen, making her heart skip a beat. She answered it. "Hey," Rowan greeted, his voice husky and warm. "How are you?" Zelene felt a shiver run down her spine. "I'm okay. Did you just wake up?" "Yeah," he admitted. "I miss you. I want to hug you and kiss you. My whole system wants you." Zelene laughed softly, feeling a mix of excitement and warmth. "You should enjoy the rest of our vacation." "Can I fetch you tomorrow?" Rowan asked. "I'll be spending three days at my grandparents' house with my cousins," she explained. "Then maybe on Friday, we can have our first date," Rowan suggested. Zelene chuckled. "Our first date, huh? What are you talking about?" "I want us to date," Rowan said seriously. "Okay," Zelene replied, smiling to herself. "Friday it is." "Good," Rowan said, his voice full of satisfaction. "I'll text you the details later. Now, get some sleep." "You too," Zelene said, feeling a flutter in her chest. "Goodnight, Zelene." "Goodnight, Rowan." She hung up, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness about their upcoming date. As she lay in bed, she couldn't help but replay their conversation in her mind, her heart feeling lighter and fuller than it had in a long time.
