Six Monday afternoonTalk about anti-climactic. No one even noticed me swimming up to school with Zak. He seemed disappointed, but I was thrilled. Anything to put off the impossible task of having to convince someone—anyone—that this is real. So my morning pretty much went along as usual. By lunchtime, I’ve practically forgotten about the arrangement with Zak altogether. If by forgotten I mean I’ve reviewed and overanalyzed every single moment of our swim to school together in excruciating, exhausting detail. So, yeah, not forgotten.
