Chapter 5 Permission

1554 Words
I just finished transferring all my laguage inside and I thought she already followed me inside just like what should be expected but I was confused when I turned around and she's nowhere to find. Why didn't she just followed me here? so now, I'm heading back to the door where of course I saw her. She's still standing in front of my car while looking inside through the door longingly. "What are you still waiting for out there?" I asked to her in confusion while now leaning on the wall. I'm currently standing in between the door. "There's no one else inside so you don't have to be shy and besides, if there is. They won't see you anyways..." I added. Look at what's happening! I'm now the one who's convincing her to come inside tsk. She nodded hesitantly. I just watched her as she starts to walk towards my direction. Closer to the door where I'm standing. I can't help but to get really confused why she seems to be hesitating now when she was too excited earlier after she succesfully convinced me to let her be with me for a while... don't tell me she suddenly changed her mind?? but if it is then I'd be truly glad! "Come in already. It's really getting late, I wanna rest because this day is just really tiring for me..." I said to her while preventing myself from yawning. I'm also sleepy as hell and I have plans on waking up early in the morning tomorrow to do some jogging. You know, to be able to enjoy a morning again here and breathe some fresh morning province air! "Um... I... forgot to tell you something Charles." She uttered hesitantly while now looking at me with a conflicted emotions in her eyes. My eyebrows furrowed. "Then what is it?" I asked. Kinda hesitating too but still with curiosity. That must be something really big or important. I can tell that just by looking and observing the face she's making right now. "I don't know but, ghost like me can't enter a house who's still being lived by someone without them personally letting us in..." She explained that made me automatically stopped for a while. What did she just said?! I laughed in again, confusion. "What? seriously??" I asked again while staring at her unbelievably. I never knew this thing about them. I mean, well... I never really took an effort to study about them though. This is really shocking and life-changing for me. I wish I had known that long time ago. "Yeah. So, would you please say 'I'm letting you inside my house'?" She asked like a kid asking to her parents for permission! "After you said that, I'll finally be able to come inside with you--" "No." I interrupted that made her stop immediately. She's now looking at me with furrowed eyebrows and creased forehead. "W-wait what?" "I changed my mind. I won't continue our deal anymore." I answered formally. "Don't get me wrong. I'm bot being evil or something here but I never wanted to associate with a non-living like you. I want to maintain my normal life so I'm sorry..." It's true. And besides, us getting attached to each other isn't just f*****g right! "You're so mean!!" She suddenly yelled while now looking at me with a hint of dissapointment in her eyes. Damn it. I'm really sorry for her... I plastered a fake smile on my face. "Maybe I really am. Well, it's time for you to go now. Just forget also that we became friends, I totally changed my mind about everything earlier." I stated to her while trying my best to not get affected by my emotion of feeling guilty because of what I just did. I let out a deep sigh before I finally turned my back against her. I took few steps forward as I was holding the door's knob now. It's okay Charles... don't feel too guilty. You know in yourself that this is for the best. I was just about to completely shut the door when she suddenly yelled. "I will never accept this betrayal!!" She madly yelled. I didn't responsed and still torn in between finally closing the door or saying sorry to her and take back those mean words of mine. "You will pay for this!" She added that made me look at her again in disbelief. "Really? and how are you planning to make me pay?" I asked mockingly that just made her look more pissed and mad at me. Not gonna lie, she's kinda threatening when she's looking at you with her sharp eyes. If looks could kill, then I shouldn't be standing here alive anymore... "I promise to never leave you alone! I'll always bother you so that you can never have your peace!" I did tried but I still ended up bursting into laughter. I mean, instead of getting threatened? I just find her childishly cute! I mean look at her, even though her looks could kil, her pout isn't! "I'm sorry but how will you do that if you can't even come inside?" "Then," She avoided my gaze for a second like she herself forgot about it. I never met such ghost like her... "Then I'll disturb you everytime you go out!" She suddenly yelled again. Tsk. She's completely helpless... "I'm sorry to burst your bubble but, I'm an introverted guy who loves staying home so..." I smirked. "Goodnight, Blaire." I greeted to her formally while finally closing the door slowly at her face. Now the door's finally closed while I'm still staring at it. I don't know, maybe I'm waiting for her to do something? I let out a deep breath and shut my eyes in frustration. I just wish that she'll decide to forgive me and go away and of course continue her life as a ghost just like before we met. I was just about to take as step backward to leave the door place when I heared a sudden loud noise outside. I hurriedly went to the glass window near the door and saw her trying her best to get in but all she does is slamming herself on the door as she trembles every after she attempts to get inside. I just looked at her in both annoyance and amazement. I mean, It's funny that she's a ghost and she can't enter inside by just going through the walls just like what ghosts like her on the movies always do. She continued banging the door while she also continued to bounce back and tremble on the ground. Why won't she just stop and give up already?? she's just hurting herself--owh wait, she won't get hurt anymore but still. I thought of talking to her again to convince her that she should just stop, but I just decided to leave the place and leave her all herself alone. I'm sure by morning she's gone already after she realized that I won't change my mind anymore. I just wished her to finally see the light so she'll get the peace she deserves. I immediately went to the staircase to climb upstairs where my room is located. I'm not having dinner for now, I'm not hungry so I'll just lay on my bed and sleep. I'm really tired and sleepy. I just wish my conscience would let me sleep after this... I was just in the middle of climbing the stairs when I came across by a huge glass window and almost tripped when I saw her floating outside while glaring at me. I don't know but I really got scared that I'm now breathing heavily! damn it! it's been a long time since I saw a floating one so I literally thought I'll get heart attack for a second because of she just did! "Can you just stop? you scared me to death!" I said to her in annoyance while my hand is still on my chest. I'm still calming myself... I never thought I became more nervous than before. "This is my last chance of giving you a warning. If you still won't let me in, I'll show up on your dreams tonight and there, I'll scare you to death till you die out of nightmare!!" Wow. If I didn't know her, I would really get scared because of what she just said. "You almost gave me heart attack. Isn't that enough already? plus! just stop this already." I just said to her in monotone voice. Completely ignoring her threat. "I don't dream. I never had any dreams in my whole entire life so, sorry again for bursting your bubbles." I added as I shrugged my shoulders off. It's true. I never had one, or maybe I had but can't remember them all? I don't really know... I just ignored her literal deadly glare as I continued walking upstairs. Good thing there's no huge windows upstairs anymore except inside my room. Ghost can really get annoying and disturbing sometimes. I'm glad the house was really taken cared of... everything looks the same as before like nothing changed. There's no more satisfying feeling than going back and arriving to the house where you used to live and grew up before. Our first ever home...
