TWO ENEMIES AT A TIME

Just as Jupiter had predicted, Jetta ran as fast as his legs could carry him.
"Damn daughter of Lilith." He cried under his breath.
In Moonlight Pack and beyond, nobody dares raise his or her face at the sight of him. But this lass... She had not only sprayed that pepper on his face but also smacked his privates with her iron-made leg. Yet it was not the physical wound that hurt him, he had suffered worse, and he believes there are many to come. He was hurt because he suffered this humiliation in the presence of men who saw him as a god.
What Jetta needs now is water, and his ship has run out of it. He would have gladly plunged into the sea, but because of the presence of salt, the sea is outside the options. Jetta was afraid he might go blind if care was not taken. Then he remembered. The stream is on the northern side of this village. He had noticed it during the raiding. Jetta ran like a madman and arrived a few minutes later. In a jiff, he was out of his clothes, immersed himself in the water, and remained like that for what seemed like an eternity.
His eyes were as red as embers when he stepped out of the stream, but the irritation was now bearable. And as for his shame and anger, it has increased by tenfold.
With the belief her men would have captured her, and she would be sitting and sucking her fingers in remorse, Jetta began to fantasize about the kind of punishment he had in stock for her.
Now that he could think straight, he knew the best thing to do was to inform Jeromy of the presence of this strange lady. He will hate to miss the fun.
What came close to a smile appeared on Jetta's face at the thought of his twin brother. Despite all his flaws, he still loves him.
"You look like the devil. Have you started smoking pot?" Jerome asked at the sight of his red-eyed brother.
"No, bro. You won't believe what happened to me?"
Jerome c****d a one-sided smile as Jetta narrated the ordeal he had just passed through. Unlike his brother filled with anger and shame, he found the whole scene funny and couldn't imagine his brother on his knees before this godlike woman.
"You claim she is a witch?" Jerome asked again.
"Yes, bro. Apart from the container with fiery pepper, she also has in her hand another strange-looking object that looks like a magic wand."
"Well, I need to see her," Jerome concluded, after failing to find any glimpse of humor on his brother's face.
A woman had not only inflicted injury on his brother's eyes but had knocked him on his crotch and brought him down to his feet.
Unimaginable!
Jerome wondered if she could do that for him as well.
"No," he muttered out loud. Such a woman would be hacked to pieces immediately.
The two unconscious men wake up at last. They looked lost for a while, stood up hurriedly, looked around, and then raced to join the rest of the invading pack, who seemed more pleased to see them alive.
After failing to drive them away, Jupiter's boldness began to subside. Out of desperation, she put on the speaker in her bag and the blasting voices of singing men filled the air.
The men were scared, then confused, and then baffled. How can a small bag contain a whole band and their musical instruments?
To look more like a witch, Jupiter decided to shake her body and wiggle her waist to the rhymes of the song. The men were now impressed and amused, and they began to clap their hands and dance along with her.
Suddenly, the whole group became silent and Jupiter soon knew the reason why. Their boss, the man whom she had assaulted, had now returned. And along with him came his identical brother. They were twins!
Judging by what she had heard concerning twins, Jupiter realized he had made two enemies at a time. She had bitten more than she could chew.
The man she assaulted seemed to be annoyed as he yelled at his men, probably asking the reason why she wasn't on the chain yet, and Jupiter heard them answering back in a gentle voice. The two stunned men appeared before him, explained what happened to them, and then disappeared back to wherever they emerged from.
The brothers now watched her from the corner of their eyes, and then, the newly arrived one began to walk towards her.
They were gorgeous! Tender mouths, thick blond hair. They wore blue sweaters that clung to their broad shoulders and made their blue eyes look deep enough to be drawn in. Jupiter blushed at her line of thought.
She needs to remind herself that she is an enemy and could be killed at any moment.
"Can you tell us why you are?" He asked when he reached where he believed to be a safe distance from her.
"Maybe you should tell me the reason why you are killing all these defenseless people."
"This is a raid, and all these people are enemies. Why don't you put your weapon away and let's talk like civilized people?"
Jupiter couldn't believe her ears. "There is nothing civilized about you guys. You are bunches of barbarians." She muttered as she put her weapon back into her bag. She realized she couldn't fight all these men, and if talking would get her away from them, then it was worth the shot.
"What is your name and how did you understand our language?"
"My name is Jupiter O'Neal. I'm -."
"I beg your pardon," Jerome impatiently cut into her speech. "Your name is Jupiter! Quite odd. That's the name of one of our gods. Why the hell did they give you a male's name?"
It was because her parents had wanted a male child so much. They had chosen the name Jupiter, and when she turned out a female, they decided to make the name stick.
But this stranger doesn't need to know this.
Jupiter shrugged back. "What is your name?"
"My name is Jerome. My brother over there is Jetta. You have been standing for a while and look tired. Why don't you come to my cabin while we talk over cups of coffee? "
His smile was weak and seemed to be forced on his lips, and he had a kind of darkness in his eyes.
Jupiter's hair seemed to be standing as she stepped after him. All her senses were screaming at her, warning her how dangerous this man could be, and then telling her not to trust him. As if she ever will.
