Chapter 6

Pedia's POV "Come here." I move over, so she sits with me. "I promised myself that if they ever do something to me that I would pack my bags and leave, and I would keep my promise," I said, wiping her tears away. "Painkillers, take them before you eat, put the oil on the wounds so they won't get affected," David says when he walks in and hands me the prescriptions. "Thanks." "You are going to be on crutches until your thighs are heels; you don't have to use them all the time. So I advise you not to rely on them every day. You won't be going to school for a few days. Here is your medical certificate." He handed it to me. "How long will I be out of school?" I asked. "It says two weeks, but you can go back any time you want to. As long as your wounds are healing and you aren't relying on your crutches," he says. "Okay, thanks nurse." I smiled at him. I am ahead by four weeks in all my subjects, so this s**t isn't going to affect me at all. So instead, I can use this time to watch Wild N Out. "You're free to go; show the front desk the receipt to get your pills and oil. And good morning ladies, have a lovely day. Pedia, don't forget to rest." He said, handing me my crutches and walking away. "I finally got to use crutches; I've wanted to use them," I said happily. If you have never used them, what are you doing with your life? "Yeah, well, you should be happy that you're not injured. That, worse," we showed the front desk the receipt, and we were free to go. • • • • • • • • • • "How are you feeling?" Sky asked while driving down a road. "I don't know, to be honest." "Sometimes, I feel like giving up. You know what I mean." I looked at my phone. "No, I don't know what you mean because I live by a quote that says, 'if you are lost, never give up, always look for another path. You don't know where it might lead you." She said. "Holy f**k. How the f**k can we pay rent?" I asked as she pulled up to her apartment. "My parents have already paid for everything. So we don't have to worry about anything." She takes her keys and opens the door. I mirrored her actions, and we walked up to the front door. "Welcome home." Sky said and opened the door, and it was welcoming. "Did it come fully fashioned?" I admired how the room was decorated. "Every room." She walked to the kitchen. The whole apartment was an open floor plan. This s**t is fantastic. "Let me snapchat, to show how lit we are." I joked. "Be my guest." She says and comes back holding two plates of food. My stomach wakes up. "Here is some food; eat up so you can take your pills." She puts the food on the table, comes back with two cans of mountain dew, and sits them down. I make myself comfortable and take a seat on a love sofa. This s**t is comfortable. "This is going to be my favourite seat." I grabbed the food placed in front of me, and it looked good. Skylar was not someone to pick a salad for a meal; she took whatever and didn't gain weight. She was skinny, and I was as slim and thick over there as Kylie and her average-sized boobs. I took a bite and moaned; this s**t was the boom dot com. "Hey, which one is my room?" I asked after I finished eating. Who knew eating could make a b***h tired? Well, now I know because now I can't open my eyes any longer. "There are two rooms that are in line with each other so that you can pick one," She says with a smile. I followed her, and I opened the door. I walk towards a bed and fall onto the soft mattress, darkness overtakes me. • • • • • • • • • • I dreamt of blood, a car crash, and death. I had a pleasant dream (Note the sarcasm). I woke up in a comfortable bed. I remember my bed was never this soft; my bed was dirty, filled with stains, filled with horrible memoirs. I slowly opened my eyes and tried to remember where and whose house I was at. I remembered that it was Sky's apartment. Everything from today's events came back to me. I moved my body to the side of the bed since I was in the middle, took the white comforter off my body, and the cool air hit my legs, and I quickly covered them. I look at the time on a clock that hangs above a 62 inch TV, and it read 11 am. Damn, this was the most extended sleep I have ever gotten. Once I have the encouragement to get off the covers, I step up then fall back on the bed. My thighs hurt when I put pressure on them, then I remember that I had crunches. I found them next to the bed and grabbed them, and I grabbed a pair of socks and put them on so that my feet didn't get cold on the timber floor and made my way to the living room, and I saw Sky talking to someone on her phone. "Look who finally woke up, though you died in your sleep." She says after she ends her call. "Haha, very funny," I said, walking over to her and taking a seat on a stool. "Well, drink up. Taylor was so worried about why we didn't come to school, so he is coming over right now." She grabs another cup and pours coffee, and hands it to me. "I don't know what I would do without you; I love you so much. I said, grabbing the cup, lifting it to my lips, and taking a sip. "Anything for my best friend." She goes to her room, comes back with her hair in a messy bun, takes a seat on the couch she was sitting on this morning, and goes on her phone. After a couple of minutes of silence, the doorbell rings, and that makes Sky look at me with a worried face. "Who do you think it is?" she asked. "I don't know," I said. My heart is in my throat, and I'm pissing myself. "What if it's my parents?" I asked, feeling nervous. "No one knows where I live, only my parents and Taylor, so it's got to be Taylor then." She went up and walked towards the door. "Holy s**t you scared us." Sky uttered. "Who did you think I was?" a familiar voice asks. My heart calms down. Thank you, Jesus. "I don't know, to be honest, closed", Sky said. I closed the door, and I could hear their footsteps coming closer. "This is a sick apartment," Taylor said. I could hear that they were coming closer because their voices got louder. I turned around so that my back was facing them when they came in. I went on i********: to make it look like I was doing something and wasn't scared about who was behind the door not too long ago.
