Henry
I spent all morning and afternoon watching my sister and my best friend pawn all over each other. Bryce kept watching us all like we’re aliens or he’s planning something.
Sydney stayed with Gabriella and Jen but she seemed uptight about something. Probably the five o’clock shadow.
I haven’t found time to talk to my sister until she asks me to help her upstairs. She speaks my thoughts but then I realize we have no proof so we could very well just give him another upper hand.
I’m ready to go home this place is stressing me out even more and being so close to Syd isn’t helping. Grace called me out like I knew she would. She also knows that after what happened I won’t go there. Not when Bryce has a say in my life. So not ever.
Every one is a pawn to him. I won’t give him the satisfaction of this move.
I need a plan and I need a good one. Or we’re all going down the rabbit hole. I hope Grace listens to me just this one time because if not things are going to get unbelievably messy around here and it’s not the time nor the place for that. Though it is nice to envision.
When we get back downstairs it’s quiet. I think everyone is asking the same thing silently. What do we have to do to get out of this? What can we do? Nothing. We’re sitting ducks. Waiting. Always waiting to get sucked back.
I glance at Bryce but he’s on his phone. Nothing new there. He must notice I’m watching because he smirks at me and I swear I can take him now. Damn the consequences it would be worth it. Then I shake the thought because what if it cost any chance I had with Sydney? If in the future there was a chance I can’t take the risk. So I sit tight and say nothing.
