"He's my dad and his family," I murmured quietly, without taking my gaze away from the happy family. Xavier rose from his seat and took a seat next to me.
"Hey," he said, cupping my cheek and forcing me to face him.
"He isn't worth your time or attention. Don't let him take over your mind. He would be better off without you. He has no idea what he is missing in his life. You are the most caring and courageous woman I have ever met, and I would be a fool to let you leave the way he did." I smiled sweetly and pecked his lips. He was taken aback by my actions, which caused me to blush tremendously.
"You look cute when you blush" I blush and tuck my stranded hair behind my ear.
