Chapter 6

I inhaled and exhaled as I encouraged and advised myself. The queen was there for me and I was certain she was going to get me covered. I knew she would stand by me and protect me no matter what. She had already left a good impression about herself on me so I was certain everything was going to be okay.

“Shall we?” He asked again, this time, drawing me out of my reverie for I was lost in the ocean of my thought and was on the verge of drowning.

“Of course” I cleared my throat as I held on to his hands. His hands were so warm and soft. It was like he had never touched anything, including water before. It felt so surreal as his hands raised emotions in me. Just his touch on my palm! I wondered how it would be if it were on my body. I shook my head as I discarded the thought. I should be more focused on learning how I was going to impress my soon-to-be father-in-law and sister-in-law.

I also prayed I would not get upset about the state of my powers coming out uninvited. He smiled as he walked me out of the room. Would he smile like this when he walks me down the aisle? I could not help but flush at the thought.
