Week 6 Creating Dialogue- Moving to Austin

" You mean to tell me that one hour after we get married you tell me that you're going to move across the country? You didn't think I needed to know that before the wedding? This is something we should have discussed before the wedding so that I can adjust my life to move with you? Now I'm going to have to take a short leave to get us a place there and come back until I can permanently move with you! I have to talk with my dad, brother and sister about what to do with the company, as I am the CEO." he said rambling with frustration in his voice.

"Wow, you went from 0 to 700 in two seconds. Slow down HUSBAND. You don't have to be in Austin. I'm going for a job I have already accepted, before we met and argued in the streets of New York. I'm sorry I didn't tell you before, in my defense though, I didn't think it would matter to you since i'm your forced wife. I also made that plan when I didn't know who you were. I just found out " Tia said looking at Kyle with her undivided attention.

"You still didn't consider me when you knew. When I walked in that room that could have been one of the first things we talked about. You know if you don't want a husband, you don't have to have one." He yells.

"Well tell me how you really feel. I'm trying to discuss this with you now as rational adults." she said.

This was not how he saw the wedding night going. We were supposed to have just done the biggest show of our love for each other and be in bliss. No not my WIFE, no bliss for us, she NOW tells me she wants to accept this job half way across the country. For us to be in love, this is hell. Walking around this beautiful bridal suite, while I should be cuddled up with the love of my life instead I have to wrap my head around her leaving me. Note to self ask when she's leaving,  on second thought, it don't matter I'm not invited. I grabbed the card key and set off to the beach. Leaving her alone in the room so she and I can think.

"Mara, we're fighting about me going to Austin. You'd think he'd get that, especially since it is one of the things that we discussed while hanging out in New York." Tia said fuming.

"Tia don't act like he have no right to be upset. Yes he knew but when he found out he was marrying the woman he was in love with he thought it was going to be roses and sunshine. Let's look at this differently. Tell me what advice would you give me if I said I met this amazing guy, we spent a whole weekend together, so we found out that we work together, only he's the ceo. He claims to want me and when he does, I accept another job and I know, but I don't tell him and three weeks later I leave, right when things were heating up. I leave anyway. What would you say to me?" Mara said

"Well, Did you have feelings for him? Did he have feelings for you? Did you hope that it would be something?"

"Yes to all of them."

"Why would you leave him then? If you both feel the same way then why make both of you suffer. My advice would be to stay with him and make it work. Love can over come the difference in status, space and time. Mara real love is precious, it shouldn't be thrown away...Mara did you do the twist the facts again, just so I can see my own situation?" Tia said.

"Yes. Tia we live in our own bubble and sometimes we forget about others. In this situation you didn't think of anyone but yourself. You haven't thought of his point of view. Just something that I have noticed. You are always communicating your point, you've not said anything about him, have you even considered his feelings through the lens of your husband and not just the guy you met in passing. He is now your husband so what about your husband?" Mara asked

I'm glad someone is making her think. I'm back now that I am calm and can talk rationally to her. Only he walked in on her conversation. I'll just go in and take a shower to relax more.  He slipped behind her and went to the bathroom to shower. Can I let her go and  be happy for her. Of course I can live without her, I have this far. I thought she would forget her plan and I guess her issue run deeper than I thought, I thought she only wanted to get away from the marriage but she wanted to run from her family. For her happiness she can go, without me. I will try to maintain our marriage if I can't then I will divorce her.

"Ok Tia let's talk about this again without anger. I just want to ask some questions?" Kyle said walking into the room.

"Come and have a seat. I need to talk to you." Tia said.

"Ladies first." Kyle said.

"First I want to start with I'm sorry for being insensitive. Mara told me I was being selfish. So I apologize. I am just so tired of being the sacrifice and not having my own life that I have to leave the state to have it. Kyle, we are very good together. I missed you like crazy after the left new york, but being back home reminded me of why I wanted to leave. I don't want to leave you but if I stay here, my family will just have another house and one more person they can weaponize against me. Kyle I love you, but I need to be away my family for a where. I did what they wanted I got married, like I told you I only want my freedom, to be my own person. I'm so sorry you are stuck in the middle. If you say no then I will call and bow out of the job, cancel the house and car and ship all my stuff back here. I just want to be able to be myself without anyone controlling and judging me every step of the way." Tia said.

"I understand that. If you really want to go then I will let you go and we can stay married. All I ask is that you  agree that neither one of us date until we both agree. I only want you to be happy. I will only come to see you when you invite me. I will not crowd you. I give you my blessing to go." Klye said.

"I agree with your terms. No dating and I will also only come to visit you when you invite me. I want you to be happy so. So tell me, what will make you happy." She said

"What would make me happy is to be with you everyday, wake up and going bed together. I respect your need to be an individual. I have been able to do my own thing, so I understand. I will tell you what, if we both keep the terms we should work out. Know that I really do love you. I missed you when we were apart. I would do any and everything for you. We have an agreement. Now can I get lucky with you? I would love to make love to you, can I?" Kyle asked.

They spent the rest of the honeymoon hanging out and really getting to know each other. They went on different adventures.Enjoyed Cancun to the fullest. With no issues to overcome they relaxed and enjoyed each other.
