CHARLES'S POV Pearl shifts back and spends a few quiet moments getting to know Hekara. They talk like two teens who have had caffeine all night. I can see that I will need a spare bedroom for sanity when necessary. Randolph already made a joke about the toilet lid. Yea, I put up with that too. It was sort of funny... sort of. I also assume that we have a new permanent resident with three feathers spiking over his forehead and two beady eyes which happen to be staring over my brother, who is sleeping off one badass concussion. Pearl never gave him a name. He reminds me of a little Pitbull, always on guard for the love and dedication of his owners. I think I will name him ‘Pita’ the little Crow. Erik seems satisfied that Pearl and I are mates, but still carries a bitter internal attitude.
