Once on the battlefield, James gets connected to an Avatar and walks it right over towards where he always sees the Faceless. James watched as the Faceless explodes the Avatar into pieces but the light is so bright from the explosion that he does not see a kid coming from it and entering any sort of portal and are left with doubts even though the Faceless has shown him exactly what happens, ‘but what if they showed me what they want me to see?’
