VIOLET’s POV
Sometime later, we stopped in front of what looked like a warehouse where an exchange took place and the driver handed me over to two hefty men dressed in black.
“No! Please no! Let me go!!!!” I screamed at the top of my voice, kicking my feet up in the air but they held onto my arms firm as they dragged me inside the dark warehouse. “Please let me go! I’m begging you!!!”
Inside the empty dim-lit room, I could see the towering silhouette of a Male figure leaning against the wall, casually swirling a wine glass in hand.
“Here she is, boss.” One of the hefty men announced, throwing me down on his feet.
“Argh….” I groaned as my body hit the cold floor.
“Congratulations on breaking free, Miss Winters.” The rich deepness echoed back and forth.
That voice! I gasped, lifting my eyes up and peering into the man’s face. Though the room was dark, that scar on his lip as unmistakably him. *Gravyn Ravenwood*?
“My apologies for the rough entrance.” Gravyn stretched out an arm to me.
Brushing his offer aside, I got up on my own. “Apologies indeed. What is the meaning of this?”
“Cutting to the chase,” he began, voice hard and firm. “I’ve been watching you, Miss Winters.”
“W-watching me?” I stuttered.
He nodded. “How would you like to get your pound of flesh from the very people who have made your life miserable?”
“Go on….”
“I’ve seen what talent you have, Miss Winters. No one designs like you but if you would allow me.” Gravyn took a step forward, suffocating me with his aura. “Allow me, mold you into something fitting. A goddess in the fashion world. Allow me harness that spark in you till it becomes a roaring, consuming flame, Miss Winters.” His emerald eyes glinted with every word.
He meant every syllable and I could help but feel a cold sweat run down my spine. Why did he suddenly pick interest in me. This offer was something no sane person would say no to. He was practically offering to turn my life around but at what cost?
“And after that, I come back and take my big revenge.” I say to him.
“On your terms, Ofcourse.” He shrugged, not bothered in the least and that made me uneasy. “First, we leave the country.”
“What?” My lashes fluttered in surprise. “Isn’t that a bit too much?”
“Not in the least.” He shook his head. “You need to disappear. That way they can’t see you coming. Trust me they won’t know what hit them.”
I smirked, already liking the idea. Anything to get me on the track of building my own empire.
“I must warn you though,” his eyes dimmed a shade lower. “Think carefully, miss Winters before saying yes to my offer.” He reached out, lifting my chin with his index finger to meet with his ice cold eyes. “Because once you’re in, there is no going back.”
I gulped down the nervous lump in my throat. “I u-un-understand.” I fought to keep my voice steady but it was impossible to think straight with him this close. “I’m in. What is it that I must do?”
“Good.” He smirked, retreating his hands before snapping his fingers twice at the two guards standing a few feet away. “Knock her out!”
My jaw dropped at the order. “What the—?” I stared up at him but his face was hard as stone and expressionless. The men closed in on me. “No, no. What are you doing?”
A firm grip of a chloroform sprayed rag held over my nose, and immediately, the world went dark.
