9I got up earlier than usual the next morning, performed my ablutions, and got cleaned up. A quick cup of coffee and a couple of jelly donuts and I was off to the Y. I was dressed snappily: clean shirt, mostly clean tie, jacket and trousers that more or less matched, and a beret that I had recently had blocked at my local hatter's. The sun hadn't bothered to show up yet, but I put on my sunglasses, since all self-respecting d***s are supposed to wear them while tailing someone. The bus got me to the Y in pretty good time, considering the rush-hour traffic. I did miss my stop because I was wearing the Foster Grant specs, but not by much. Once inside I cased the place.
