"I miss you already." - Rex
I repeatedly read that phrase while suppressing a smile.
He's really crazy. We are just together yesterday and now he's saying that he already miss me.
Tsk, tsk, it's really hard being beautiful.
"Who gave that bouquet of roses that you are holding?" Jyndrex asked out of nowhere.
"Bes...I told you gazillion of times to stop being like a ghost who just popped out of nowhere."
She let go of a contagious laugh.
Sometimes I'm even wondering of how the two of us became friends.
I eyed her weirdly.
She just laugh and laugh even if there's nothing even funny. Crazy right?
She snatched the small card that my right hand was holding.
"I-it's from Rex? As in Rex Vier Samaniego?" She asked looking completely shocked. She even started hitting my arms.
"Yup. Why?" I asked casually.
"Oh my gosh Bes! I'm so proud of you. I'm now convinced that you are indeed beautiful. Who would have thought the most sought Bachelor in our country will be one of those boys who's head over heels on your beauty? He is definitely an ideal one. Damn, you are so lucky!" She said exaggerating again.
"Huh, it's just a small thing." I confidently said while softly laughing.
"Wait a minute Bes, I think I stepped into something." She said seriously before standing up.
"Huh, what?"
I eyed her confusedly.
"Wait, I think I stepped into your hair because it suddenly reached the floor. It's becoming too long already."
I laugh hard because of my crazy secretary/best friend.
"By the way, I remembered something. You still owe me something. You have to tell me about what happened on your meeting with the hottest bachelor in town."
I exhaled loudly before telling her everything. From the first day I accidentally met him up until last night that he offered me a ride on my way home.
"Beeeees destiny! Destiny is what you call that. Who would imagine that you're supposed to be business partner is the one who stole your first kiss…how ironic right?"
I frowned. I'm asking that same question to myself already.
"That handsome jerk. I'm still not done in making him pay for what he did to me. He stole my first kiss that I reserved for my future husband."
Jyndrex just laughed at me. Then she started teasing me again.
"Sus, if I know you like it too. You're lucky because he kissed you. You're not even aware that a battalion of girls are lining up just to get his attention. They're just too afraid because based from an article that I've red he's elusive to girls except for her goddess Mom. Damn, I really envy you. Maybe you're he's first kiss also."
Unconsciously, my right hand went to my lips.
Damn, I can't help but to smile widely.
Even my heart is pounding loud and fast too.
"I know you're feeling elated right now. Admit it already, you are attracted to fafa Rex, right? Stop denying it because it's too obvious. And don't worry Bes because I will support you no matter what. Especially now that you're finally interested to someone. For 25 years of being NBSB you'll finally have a boyfriend. I'm tired turning down all the guys who came here asking for permission to court you. And I might get diabetic because you always gave me all the chocolates coming from them. Our house looks like a flower boutique also because you even gave me the flowers they sent for you." She ranted nonstop with hand gestures.

Yes, in my 25 years of existence I never had a boyfriend.
Because I want my first boyfriend to be my last.
"But seriously, you like Rex already?" Jyndrex asked me, suddenly becoming serious.
I let go of a long sigh.
"I don't know either Bes. It's too early for that. I just met him."
She then smiled at me.
"Bes you're right. Don't rush things. Get to know him more. Who knows? Maybe he's the right one for you."
I don't know.
If he's the one I'm still not sure if I could take a risk.
I'm afraid of commitments because I don't want to get hurt.
But pain is part of loving so why not give it a chance?
But first, I will try.
I'll try to get to know him better.
I want to know if he's really worth it.
