The Transferee

Two weeks later. It's already third week of November and our second semester had started. As usual, Johan and I went in and out of our school together. Jonas is still the same, moody. Colin is busy at work while Sophie is still the same. Denver keeps on calling me often, and talking to me a lot of things.

"I'll leave you here now. I love you," Johan said right after we reached my room in the second floor. His room is in the third floor.

"Bye," I said and he already walked away. I entered my room and now, no one is gossiping me anymore. Sophie is already here in her chair, I immediately went into my chair.

"Hi sis, good morning," I greeted Sophie who is busy listening the gossips of our classmates that's why she didn't noticed me when I entered the room.

"Oh, Glady. Good morning too," she replied and kissed my cheeks.

"You seems so busy in listening their gossips. What are they talking about?" I asked.

"Tssss. It's the new third year student," Sophie replied.

"And why did you looks so irritated?" I asked.

"Yeah, I've seen him lately. He is so handsome. He is better than the twins who already have an owner there," one of the girls louder her voice for us to be able hear it clearly.

"Are insulting the twins, Cassy?" Sophie asked our bitchy classmate.

"Oh! Hi Sophie," Cassy said but Sophie only lift her left eyebrow. "Speaking of the owners," she murmured. "Of course not because I'm only telling the truth," Cassy said.

"Tssssk!" Sophie exclaimed.

"Don't mind them anymore," I said to Sophie.

"It's my brother," Sophie replied.

"What?" My voice get a little louder that catches the attention of all my classmates. "I'm sorry," I softly said while giving a peace sign.

"Why are you so shocked? Didn't he told you about it?" Sophie asked me.

"No, he didn't. Maybe he wanted to surprise me," I said.

"Hey sis, Johan or Denver?" she asked while giving me a very big smile.

"Sophie!" I exclaimed.

"It's alright for me whomever you choose," Sophie said.

"Enough. Denver is just my bestfriend and Johan too, I only treat them as a big brother," I replied.

"Mhmm. If you can't choose from them, then just choose Jonas," she said and it made me starstruck.

"Silly girl," I said and immediately looked at my phone to hide my blushing face. Yeah, right. I have a crush on Jonas but I'm not sure if I love Denver. I don't know if I had feelings with Johan too because I always miss him even we are always together. Johan is the person I'm looking for everyday of my life. Gosh, I don't want to choose from them.

"Good morning class," our teacher said when she entered. It's another boring chapter of my life. Yes, I am clever but I'm not fond of studying.

A few moments later, I and Sophie was already walking toward the canteen. She made everything just to make all of our schedules match in this semester that's why we are already together everywhere in the whole day of school.

"Yeah, he is so handsome," the girls are whispering in the footwalk.

"Yeah, I've heard that he is from US. That's so cool," one of the girls said.

"Look, he is here," they said while looking into our back.

"The devil is coming. Let's go faster sis," I said to Sophie and hold her right hand. I walked faster while holding Sophie's hand. Just exactly as we reach the group of four girls who is whispering lately, someone hold my shoulder.

Then, the girls keeps on whispering to each other about me and the guy. I looked back and found Denver handing a bouquet of flowers to me. I hold my forehead and looked at him angrily. I ran into the rooftop without caring whomever I passed by.

I was about to forgive him for not telling me that he is going to transfer in our school this semester but he embarrassed me in the crowd. Giving a bouquet of flowers? I feel like this is a new start for me to have a lot of bullies, bashers, haters or what ever you can call those desperate girls.

I already overcome the problems that Jonas and Johan's closeness brought to me. Now, another guy came into my life. Tssss, he didn't even asked me first about it. What would be the girl's next gossips about me? That I'm flirty, a b***h, I'm taking all their guys, I'm fooling Johan or what? Oh God, if there's God, what should I do now? I've only rest from troubles but it feels another storm is coming.

"I'm sorry," someone asked from my back. It's Denver, I can recognize his voice.

I looked back and seen Denver. "Sophie told me about the problem of the girls in this school, I'm sorry if I made a wrong moves. I'm sorry if I didn't tell you that I'll be here now. I'm so sorry," he said.

"What can my anger do now? You're already here. It already happened," I said and pout. "Oooops, don't pinch my face. We're not good," I said and looked down again to those students that are walking around in the ground.

"Alright. Don't worry, I will make up things with you," he said and stood beside me. "What if we go out for dinner tonight?" he asked but I never replied.

"Are you going often here?" he asked but I keep silent. "It's so beautiful here," he said but I just keep on looking down.

"Twelve years had passed that we didn't see each other, nor hear things about each other," he said. "Glady, don't you want to fill it up?" he asked me. "Let's make up for the past that we missed being together," he said while looking on me.

"Haysst!" I sighed and looked at him. "Of course I want to do things which can make us know more about each and make our friendship stronger. But, you have to promise me not to do things without my permission first," I said and he smiled very wide.

"I promise, I promised," he said and hugged me.

"Release me now. It's not US, it's not good to hug your opposite gender here in public. People may think of something wrong and put malice on it even though it's nothing," I said and he let go of me.

"I'm really sorry again. I'm just very happy that at last, we can often be together now," Denver said.

"Denver, we are bestfriends. Let's keep it like this, no more, no less," I said. "Is it alright?" I asked him.
