Kyler unlocks his phone, and just then, my device lights up with notifications, too. I quickly unlock it, only to discover that my number has been added to some group chat.
But just then, a voice note from Kyler's phone echoes, freezing me in place. I immediately recognize the voice. It’s Jossie’s unapologetic tone, and her next words cut through me like a knife, each one laced with disdain and judgment.
“If you want to blame me, go ahead.” Her voice rings out, and her words drip with arrogance. "Shiloh should be grateful that he revealed his true nature now before she ended up ruining her life for him."
