Chapter Ninety-Three
A scream cut through the night and I roared, the sound making the house shake. I shifted back into my human form and ran up the wooden steps of the porch.
‘Hurry.’ I growled through the mindlink as I swung the door open and ran inside.
‘We’ll be there soon. Wait for us’ Lover answered as I hurried through the living room and up the stairs.
Sandra screamed out again and I pushed myself to move faster. The scent of her fear was tart on my tongue and the pounding of her heart drew me in. When I reached the door, I found it locked but that wasn’t going to keep me away from her.
Gripping the doorknob, I gave it a sharp twist. Breaking the lock on it, I slammed the door open and stepped into the room.
