I can handle it myself.” He set me down and went to his glass cases. “Know how to shoot?” I paled. “Would I need to shoot someone?” He pocketed some guns and other items on his gloriously dangerous displays. He gave me a transparent-looking weapon. It was the laser gun. “Won’t hurt anyone with this except volyrs.” My hand trembled as I held it. He gave me a capped needle. “You have experience stabbing someone, right?” I winced. “I don’t like being reminded.” He tugged me by my back pocket and inserted it in there. “Darian deserves it. So will everyone else you use that on.” Easy for him to say. “Why do you still have this stuff?” “This is my own stash.” He opened his closet and took out his vest.
