My senses stirred to the sound of water in gutters and the faint smell of dew and wet soil and trees. I lifted on my elbows and blinked my stinging eyes at the glass wall which was patterned with raindrops glistening in the soft sunlight blooming through clearing clouds. I stared out for however long, mind empty and drowsy. The door opened. Was someone there? Ausmane? I rubbed my eyes to make sure I wasn’t imagining him. All of yesterday was a big blank.
