“This is quite a set up to force yourself to come,” Ausmane said to the caged man. The man shifted on his seat within. “Isn’t this a little selfish for a selfless man like yourself?” A low rumble came from the man, but it wasn’t repelling. It was like an odd laugh. Ausmane looked at the woman in the lab coat for an answer. “Is he sane?” The woman adjusted her glasses. “For now.” The caged man’s features became distinct as we stopped a good six feet away. At first, he looked like a regular old man wearing an expensive suit, well-groomed with bristles of white hair trimmed neatly to his scalp, and two clear bald spots on the front half. “Why is Furin here?” Ausmane demanded him.
