Ausmane inhaled sharply behind me. A black-armoured Furin reappeared, shooting up in the air. Ausmane grabbed my arm. Loud flaps, a rush of air. A hand covered my eyes, but I’d seen them. Long indigo feathers on outspread, dragon-like wings. “Marvelous!” Randine shouted. I pried Ausmane’s hands off and ran to the edge of the baluster. I looked at the blue, serene sky. No wings.
