CHAPTER 41 AN INTRUDER The following Saturday morning, Lisa rummaged into the washing machine and took out her clean, damp clothes. She slipped them into the washing basket, heaved it, and hung the clothes outside on the line. She carried the empty basket back inside, then started to sweep the kitchen floor. The dust made her sneeze, since she hadn’t cleaned in weeks. Sweeping over the tiles, Lisa finished in record time then dusted the rooms. She had made the decision to stop volunteering at the foundation until the police caught her stalker. It was the safest thing she could do right now.
